ASD.com, a company that has been in the school business since 1985, conceived our company's web site. Their vision prompted the development of www.asd.com in 1996 and www.schoolinformation.com in 2001. ASD Data Services LLC is owned and operated by the former Vice-President of Information Technology at ASD.com whose direction led the efforts in the development of both web sites. I can use ASD.com, why would I want to subscribe to this service? Although much of the information on School Information.com is also available on ASD.com, the search method and tools are different. ASD.com only allows you to search and view information one school at a time. As a school marketer, you need the ability to find multiple schools at once and be able to view, print and download that list in order to help your sales efforts. That functionality is only found on School Information.com! In addition, ASD.com was priced for the casual user of school information and is intended for limited use. If I get a subscription for one year, why would I ever need to renew? The company is very proud of our service, and goes to great effort and expense to provide a quality service to our customers. Your purchase price is not for the data, but a subscription for the use of that data for a period of one year. At purchase, you are required to accept our company Terms of Use Agreement. This clearly references that any use after the subscription expires is strictly prohibited. In addition, the database contains seeded schools that will allow us to determine how the data is being used and when. To have access to the latest school information for longer than one year, you must renew your subscription. Why would I need to purchase additional user licenses? If you have more than one person that needs to access the data you will need to purchase a license for each user. In addition, we offer a corporate package. Pricing and services for a corporate package depends upon the users marketing needs. You may contact your sales representative or sales@asddataservices.com for more information. How and when do you update your school data? Through our own means and contractual agreements, we contact schools directly to assure the most accurate and up-to-date information available. In addition, the schools can update their school information on-line at ASD.com. Because we want our current subscribers to have access to the latest updates, at a minimum, our web site is updated on a weekly basis. How can I get updated information? As part of your search criteria you can choose to only view schools that have updated their information. The amount of data updates will vary depending on the time of year. Do you have teacher names? At this time we do not have teacher names. In our experience, the turnover is too great to accurately keep this data updated for successful marketing campaigns. We usually limit our contact information to the school principal. This may be something we make available in the future. Do I have to pay by credit card? Although a credit card is the quickest way to get your subscription started you may also pay by check or money order (USA banks only). If you choose to pay by check, your subscription will not be activated until five days after your check is deposited. What is your refund policy? We want our customers to be fully satisfied. To that end, we go to great lengths to answer questions or concerns before the subscription is purchased so the customer is well aware of the service they have purchased. Because of the type of service we provide, a refund cannot be granted after any data is sent to the subscriber. Can I resale the data? No. The data is the property of ASD Data Services LLC.
